May 14th – Ice-T released his fourth album “O.G. – Original Gangster” on Sire Records, on this day in 1991.

The album would contain the hit title track as well “New Jack Hustler (Nino’s Theme)” from the Warner Bros. film “New Jack City” released the same year, which Ice-T also co-starred in.

The album also featured the hit single “Mind Over Matter” and the fan favorite “Pulse Of The Rhyme.”

“O.G.”, considered by many fans and critics alike as Ice-T’s best work to date, also introduced his controversial heavy metal band Body Count on an album track of the same name.
