May 11th – Snoop Dogg releases his fourth album and second for the No Limit Records label called “No Limit Top Dogg”, on this day in 1999. “No Limit Top Dogg” would also be a collaborative release venture with his own newly launched imprint called Doggystyle Records.
“No Limit Top Dogg” would also go platinum and to the top of the charts.
Guests on the set would include Raphael Saadiq, Sticky Fingaz of Onyx, Warren G, C-Murder, Mystikal, Silkk The Shocker, as well as Xzibit and Nate Dogg who would join him on the smash hit single “B-Please”, which would also reunite him with Dr. Dre, who would produce the chart topper.
Other singles on “No Limit Top Dogg” would include “G-Bedtime Stories” and “Down For My N’z.”
Other producers on the album would include DJ Quik, Def Jeff, Goldie Loc, Ant Banks and Meech Wells amongst others.
