This Day In Hip Hop and Rap History

January 31st – Wu-Tang Clan release the classic hit single “C.R.E.A.M.” on Loud Records, on this day in 1994.

“C.R.E.A.M.”, an acronym for, “Cash Rules Everything Around Me”, the song’s chorus, was from the Wu’s debut album “Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)”, released the previous year.

The classic track was produced by Wu-Tang Abbott The RZA.

“C.R.E.A.M.” featured Method Man on the chorus with verses from Inspectah Deck and Raekwon, who told “This Day In Hip-Hop And Rap History”, that his verse on the classic gold-selling single was the best he had ever written.
