May 26th – Jive Records releases the platinum selling soundtrack to the 1993 New Line Cinema film “Menace II Society” on this day of the same year.

Among the artists included on the chart topping soundtrack were, Boogie Down Productions, Brand Nubian, Da Lench Mob, Too $hort, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Ant Banks and UGK.

The soundtrack spawned two hit singles; “Trigga Gots No Heart” by Spice 1 and “Streiht Up Menace” by MC Eiht, who also appears in the film.
