October 31st – Flavor Flav releases his long-awaited and much anticipated Self-Titled debut solo album on his own Draytown Records on this day in 2006.

The album, almost seven years in the making, contained the single “Hot 1”, released in 1999.

The album also featured a guest appearance by Smooth B of Nice & Smooth.

Other titles on the set included; “Flavor Man”, “Col-Leppin’”, “Hotter Than Ice”, “Platinum” and “The Jooks”.

Producers on “Flavor Flav” included, Craig Valentino Williams, Andrew Williams, Clinton Sands, Tracy Pierce and Charles Hester.

The album cover which has the word “Hollywood” written at the bottom of it, caused many fans to think that that was the album’s name but it was actually a reference to Flav’s recent ascension to a reality TV star.
