April 25th – Mobb Deep release their sophomore hit album “The Infamous” on Loud Records, on this day in 1995.

The album featured the hit single “Shook Ones Pt. II”, “Survival Of The Fittest” and “Temperature Rising.”

“The Infamous” also featured guest appearances by Q-Tip, Big Noyd, Nas as well as Raekwon and Ghostface Killah of The Wu-Tang Clan.

“The Infamous” was produced by Mobb Deep, The Abstract a.k.a. Q-Tip, Matt Life and Schott Free.

“The Infamous” helped to define the New York underground backpacker sound and is considered a classic and is still influential until this day.
