Gnutella

How To Use Gnutella
1) Get the software
Download this file:

Gnutella Program
(101 Kbytes)


2) Install Gnutella...

Double click on the Gnutella.exe file and follow instructions.

3) Tell Gnutella how to connect:

Save this file of Gnutella IP addresses into the gnutella folder created in step 2 (default directory is c:\program files\gnutella):

IP list (gnutella.net)
(9 Kbytes)
(Right-Click, Save Target As)

Make sure that this file is named gnutella.net (not gnutella.net.txt)

4) Launch Gnutella

Click your start button and gnutella will appear on your start menu. Wait until you have at least 1 "ok" in the "info(s,r,d)" column. ("GnutellaNet" option in uppperleft window must be highlighted to see info (s,r,d) column)

5) Search

Highlight Search in the upper left window, then type in your search term in the search box.

6) Download

Highlight the file(s) you want, and click on the "Download selected files" button.

7) Configure

To change the directories that your downloads are saved to or shared with the Gnutella community, select "Config" in the upper left window and modify.
