August 15th – Nipsey Hussle was born Ermias Asghedon in Los Angeles, California, on this day in 1985.

After releasing a few mixtapes in the late 2000’s , Hussle signed with Epic Records in 2009.

After his debut album, “South Central State Of Mind”, was pushed back several times, it was shelved indefinitely as Hussle attempted to get out of his contract with Epic.

Hussle then released another mixtape called “The Marathon”, in 2010. He followed that up with 2011’s “The Marathon Continues.”

Hussle is scheduled to release his debut album “iHussle” through iTunes sometime this year.

Hussle has also collaborated with Drake, Snoop Dogg, Dorrough, Soulja Boy, E-40, Jim Jones, Chamillionaire, Tyga and Childish Gambino, to name a few.

In 2010, Hussle also appeared as part of the super-group that performed on the “We Are The World 25 For Haiti” hit single, whose proceeds were used to aid victims of 2010 earthquake in the Caribbean nation.

Hussle has also appeared in the films “I Tried”, “Wrath Of Cain”, “Love Chronicles: Secrets Revealed” and “Three Thug Mice.”
