June 10th – Lil’ Wayne released his multi-platinum and chart topping sixth album “Tha Carter III” on Cash Money Records, on this day in 2008.

“Tha Carter III”, which won a Grammy Award for Rap Album Of The Year” in 2009, would produce no less than five monster hits; “Mrs. Officer” (featuring Bobby V), “Lollipop” (featuring Static Major), “Mrs. Carter” (featuring Jay-Z), “Got Money” (featuring T-Pain), “You Ain’t Got Nuthin’” (featuring Juelz Santana) and “A Milli.”

Other guests on “Tha Carter III” included Babyface, Brisco, Busta Rhymes, Betty Wright, D. Smith and Robin Thicke who also produced alongside Maestro, DJ Infamous, Drew Correa, Bangladesh, Play-N-Skillz, Kanye West, Swizz Beetz, Cool & Dre, Deezle, David Banner, Jim Jonsin, Street Runner, The Alchemist and Rodnae.
