April 3rd – Minister Louis Farrakhan, head of The Nation Of Islam holds a Hip-Hop Summit on this day in 1997 in Chicago, Illinois to address the ongoing coastal feuds in hip-hop.

The summit is attended by various hip-hop stars including Snoop Dogg, Doug E. Fresh and Kam.

The summit turns out to be somewhat of a success as the feud that saw two of hip-hop’s biggest stars 2Pac and Biggie Smalls murdered, ends.
