Tribute to Phife Dawg
In this segment of Hip-Hop Queenz, Raven and DJ Blakghost pay
tribute to a Hip-Hop king, Malik Taylor AKA Phife Dawg, of a Tribe
Called Quest. Phife Dawg passed away this past Tuesday
at the young age of 45, from complications with diabetes; a disease he
had been battling for a decade. Raven discusses her last time seeing
Phife, and how even as incredibly talented as he was, he was one of the
most humble people and artists she had ever met and interviewed.
Raven
saw him last at the popular concert venue, The Sound Factory in
Brooklyn, New York after a fundraising concert. DJ Blakghost ends the
show with a heart-warming ATCQ mix to help listeners rejoice in
wonderful memory of Phife Dawg.
