CD Prices? FTC Puts Labels in Check

pressure on the major labels Wednesday to end a pricing
practice that discourages CD discounting by retailers.
The FTC is saying that the majors have illegally
inflated retail CD prices for the past five years by
denying cooperative advertising payments to retailers
that undercut minimum prices imposed by manufacturers.
