Rapstation.com will host
a live Internet cybercast with Public Enemy this weekend.
The hip-hop group will be performing in Zurich, Switzerland as
part of their short, European tour. The cybercast will take place at
3 p.m. (EST) Sunday, December 3. Viewers can log onto the show at Public
Enemy Cybercast to see the live performance.
Known as the definitive hip-hop group of the '80s and '90s,
Public Enemy has outlived many of their peers to rise above the
stereotypes and image usually associated with the genre. Chuck D,
Flava Flav, DJ Terminator X, Professor Griff and the rest of the
Bomb Squad redefined the elements of rap by integrating politics and
hardcore into their already-eclectic mix of styles. Leader Chuck D
has become a virtual spokesperson for rap on the Internet, speaking
at numerous Web music conferences over the past two years.
Chuck D recently called Audiocafe.com from Paris to talk about
the current tour, and his increasing involvement in the convergence
of music and web technology. Stay tuned to Audiocafe.com for the
story, which will run next week in Audiocafe's Features
section.
